We love heroes here at The Naked Hero. They, along with heroines, are at the center of every cast of characters. That’s why love to strip them down to their skivvies and look at how they’re branded. Happy Hero Hunting!

The Leader of the Pack
The leader of the pack is the ultimate top dog. He’s strong, confident, a risk-taker, a natural leader, and used to getting his way. His biggest flaw is not being able to compromise. It is a fool who crosses him, but as a friend, he’s loyal to the end. (Adam Pontipee from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Harry Callahan in Dirty Harry.)

The Boy Next Door
Watch out for this handsome hero. He will steal your heart without you even knowing it. His unassuming shy demeanor will flip any heart with his inner and spiritual strength. He’s never conceited and always sincere. The boy next door always takes other’s feelings into consideration, giving him one of the most popular heroes to write (or watch!).

The Knight
The Knight (in shining armor) is always ready to grab a lance and defend your honor. He’s honorable, gallant, and the ultimate gentleman. His biggest weakness is that he likes to be in complete control and thinks he’s always right—but ultimately he’s able to listen and learn from his mistakes. (Edward Lewis in Pretty Woman)

The Protector
Another Knight-in-Shining-Armor kinda guy but one who might be a little more predisposed to do things his own unique way rather than by the accepted historical codes of chivalry. He gets the job done and protects his heroine, family and friends by utilizing whatever Christopher Chance-like (HUMAN TARGET) methods he deems necessary given the current situation and/or enemy. (Det. John McLane from Die Hard)

The Rebel
Who doesn’t love a bad boy who defies any type of authority and makes life exciting in the process? This hero is hard to tame, giving the heroine a run for her money for his heart. He will fight for the woman he loves and doesn’t care who or what will stand in his way. Nothing will stop him and no risk is too small.

The Cowboy
He lives hard. He may ride the range, but he might just as easily hunt supernatural beings. As long as he’s fighting the good fight, wielding a gun (or holy water, as the case may be), he’s happy. He’s usually a wanted man, making enemies as he battles his way through booze, women, and enemies. There’s just somethin’ about a Cowboy. (Dean Winchester from Supernatural)

The Scholar
He is learned and true to his convictions. He’s willing to fight for what he believes, but may not always have the street smarts to go with the book smarts. He’s probably introspective, thoughtful, and thinks before acting, weighing all the possibilities and consequences. (The Professor from Gilligan’s Island; Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird)

The Wanderer
The Wanderer isn’t content in any one place because he doesn’t know where he fits in. He may have a troubled past or be damaged. Keeping his guard up is easy since he never stays in one place very long and doesn’t make long-lasting attachments to people. It’s just easier that way. (Sawyer from Lost)

The Average Joe
The Average Joe is the most ordinary man, but put him in an extraordinary situation and see how he grows. He’s not the smartest, the most handsome, the wealthiest, or the luckiest. He just is. But there’s something endearing about this man. He’s ready to rise to the occasion when push comes to shove. (Chuck from Castaway)
