I have a confession to make. It’s not that I murdered anyone or anything really dramatic but it is a secret that up until now only a few people—my crit partners, Liz Pelletier, Libby Murphy, Heather Howland—knew. The original draft of my first novel—Luck of the Devil—didn’t have Harold in it. I know. Now that the third book in the series is in edits I can’t imagine how I ever lived without him.
Thankfully he did get into my head and into my books and now Harold’s back for the second novel of my Speak of the Devil Series and this time he’s more than just a greek chorus. That’s not to say that Harold isn’t snarky and funny as hell and still pretty much clueless when it comes to women because that’s never going to change where Dr. Harold Winslow is concerned. Four wives have not made him a smarter, more sensitive man. It also hasn’t helped him learn to keep his zipper up.
Devil May Care though is what I secretly referred to as my Harold book. The one where he really gets to shine. This is the book where Harold gets to show the world the man he would have become if he’d have only made a few better decisions. Then again that’s not going to stop him from stealing French fries and invading romance novel covers.
So, I hope that Harold and the rest of my lovely family full of crazy demonic goodness finds its way into your hands and if it does—I hope the resolution to Harold’s death is one that satisfies you. In the end, it was probably more than he deserved but I’ve grown a soft spot where this particular character is concerned.
Oh and FYI: You can order Devil May Care here at Amazon:
Or here at Barnes and Noble:

I love your series and am so glad Harold is a star in Devil May Care!
