Current events of late, of the political kind, have left me a-wondering how some men can be so lame. Not that we’re talking politics. Soooo not sexy these day, the political chatter.
But let’s DO talk about sexy men. A man who’s sexy because he knows how to respect a woman. He lets her know just how special she is for having brains and determination of her own, and—most importantly—he knows how to step aside and let her shine when it’s her turn to lead.
Let’s play a name that sexy man game, shall we?
Our prompts—the strong women we (and their men) like to watch kick ass ;o)
Angelina Jolie
Jada Pinkett Smith
Victoria Beckham
My point?
Be a strong woman. Demand a man who adores you for that. Enjoy the spoils ;o)
Okay, girls. Who am I missing? Who’s your favorite hunky guy (real or hero from a book) who’s always there for his lady but knows how to get out of the way when she’s ready to kick some ass of her own???

Wish I got the Brad Pitt thing but he’s too skinny for me. But yes, the way he obviously loves his strong woman is very sexy!
I think I’d have to pick Joe or Ranger from Stephanie Plumb. Both of them like seeing a woman kick arse but would defend her with their lives.
And I have to say your president is pretty damn sexy and that’s about 80% how much he’s into Michelle – she is one strong woman!
Also loved Mark Harmons secret service role in the West Wing protecting CJ. Hmmmm, delicious!
And my Addie in Taming the Tycoon is pretty damn strong – she’s not going to fall at Nathaniels feet. No sirree. And he freaking loves that even if it does frustrate the crap out if him!

Joe is AMAZING, Amy. I think even more than Ranger, at least for me. Yep. I’m team Joe. And in the SP movie, I was surprised how much I still loved him, even though I’m not certain the actor they chose for the role did him justice. The power of the character and writing came through, regardless. He loves Stephanie BECAUSE she’s a train wreck and still kicks ass. What a man!
And Mark Harmon! NCIS is a little too cookie cutter for me, but I could watch and rewatch HM’s role in WW forever. Have the entire series on DVD, and his scenes are still some of my faves…

I thought they cast everyone really well on the SP movie except Stephanie! Don’t get me wrong, I adore Katherine Heigl but she was so Marissa Tomei in my head!
And WW. Sigh. Yes. Have all 8 seasons too AND watch them often.

Roarke. Nobody respects – and is turned on by – a strong woman more than Roarke is by “his cop.”

Yep, Jenna. Good one!
Wouldn’t you just love to be “his” cop”?!!!

Oh, yes, Roarke. Yum. And would you believe I haven’t seen One for the Money yet!
Re strong men and their equally strong women, I always like to think of Hugh Jackman and wife Deb. He’s said that he saw her and just knew. Wow.

Don’t know if many would consider him a hunk or not, but I love John Krasinski (Jim from The Office). It’s that big-toothed smile that does it for me. Must do it for Emily Blunt too.

There’s a fellow I call Honey who has been at my side for 52 years. When we married I was a very
shy young woman, finding my way alongside my new groom. Over the years, he has learned to step
back and let me lead the way when needed. I have learned when to make my move without step-
ping on his toes. We share our strengths, making us stronger for each other!
