Amy and Kathy working hard.

Misa signing books at the Barnes and Noble in Charleston!

We are having a great time. The ladies at LCRWA were amazing! They seemed to enjoy the workshop and if they didn’t, they did a great job pretending and that’s okay with US!!!

I still chuckle over our adventure into trying to find the I-Hop!! That turn! Code 3 to our 40!
I really make a effort to eat good when I’m away from home, because I’m tired and eating bad makes it worse and can make me cranky..
Recently I’ve gone sort-a-vegan. I”ve given up dairy, meat accept fish and most wheat products. I’ve done this because I have Graves Disease and it seems to help. Traveling on a diet like that will be tough. But I can fall off the wagon, and make a u-turn back to my new way of eating. I’ve lost weight with it! And I have more energy and make my own pasta out of soy flour (I’m very proud of that accomplishment). At local restaurants I have to ask what’s in the soup all the time, I”m looking butter and beef. No b’s.
Have fun today…Say hi to everyone we met at the retreat. Right now you’re probably right in the middle of your workshop, since it’s almost 8am here…

Seeing two of the Goddesses today was awesome! You did a great job on your presentation. (Too bad our memories aren’t as good. ) The games were BIG FUN! But most of all just hanging out with Goddesses was priceless!

Have a safe trip home. (Tonya, for heaven’s sake, keep your shirt on!)

p.s. – Lee, we missed your Goddess face.

I loved the pictures! Sounds like you guys had a marvelous time. I try to eat fairly well when I go away so I’m not sick and miss all the fun, but I try to give myself a treat now and then. I’m lucky to be within driving distance of Turn the Page Bookstore where they have the mega booksigning around the time of the DC retreat – always lots of wonderful authors!

    Looks like Charleston was fun.

Pre-motherhood I enjoyed seeing favorite authors when they appeared in person. During the Mommy years there just wasn’t time. Now the kids are all in high school and I’m starting to have a little ‘me time’ again. So expect to see me at the bookstore.

The Waffle House was our favorite hangout when hubby and I first moved to Atlanta, but we eventually overdosed on it,

I always eat poorly on vacation for the first few days then feel so sick that I have to switch to salads. LOL!

Yes, there are certain authors I ALWAYS see when they come to town. Still waiting for J.R. Ward to visit the ATL …

Looks like everyone had a good time.
